There are a multitude of things to do in Galway and there is literally something for everyone. These activities include sightseeing which can be enjoyed by any mode of transport, from walking tours of the city to cruises on Galway Bay. Alternatively, Galway's historical and cultural jewels are numerous: ranging from its rich medieval history to the modern day center of arts and entertainment that is Galway.

Next door to Connemara
Connemara has a unique rugged beauty that has attracted visitors for decades. It is synonymous with the 12 Pins Mountain range which blends itself with the unique ragged landscape of rocks and soft colored fauna. Connemara also boasts Irelands only Fjord and coral beach of Gurteen Bay along with many lakes and isolated valleys. Numerous films have been filmed in Connemara such as The Quiet Man, The Match Maker, and The Field. Connemara boasts several Golf Courses, and an array of Walking tracks such as the Connemara National Park, and there are ample opportunities to fish and if you get hungry there are several quaint Seafood restaurants in some of the most picturesque villages in Ireland.
Next door to The Burren
The Burren has received al lot of international attention. The landscape resembles a bare limestone desert where one could just as well feel they were on another planet. This environment has been the home of a wide variety of native fauna in fact it has the most variations in Europe. Some spectacular scenery is thus created with a myriad of colors. A truly magical experience.
